Ministry of Altar Servers

Ministry of Altar Servers assists the priest and deacons during the celebration of the Mass and other liturgical services. Altar servers, often youth or young adults, perform various tasks to help ensure the smooth flow of the liturgy. Their duties include carrying the processional cross, holding the book for the priest, assisting in setting up the altar, preparing and presenting the wine and water, and handling incense and candles when required. The role of altar servers emphasizes reverence, attentiveness, and a deep sense of respect for the sacredness of the Mass. Through their service, they contribute to the worship experience for the entire congregation, making it more organized and solemn. This ministry also provides a foundation for spiritual growth and fosters a deeper understanding of the liturgy and the Eucharist, often inspiring servers toward a lifelong commitment to their faith and community..
